I installed the tile server plugin. i already have a OSM directory. I have enabled the plugin and pointed it to the top directory of my OSM data but they don't display.

FWIW I am running opensuse 15.2. I did a fresh installation. Mono rev 12. It all works except for the offline maps.

I got an error message but hopefully the file tree image will be attached. Well it didn't attache but I made an imgur.

OK apparently this was pilot error on my part. This plugin works. The problem was I thought I had a complete map database but apparently not.

Let me thank Andrew for both VRS and this plugin. The alternative to this plugin is to build a map server and that looked like quite a project.

There is one bug but it is Opensuse related. GDB kicks out an error if not running as root. The error message tells you how to fix the problem but either more pilot error on my part or the instructions don't work. But that is not a VRS issue.

Pro tip: If you are offline and you see an area not in your map database, going back online will not cause the program to fill it. You need to zoom out then back in again. If you think about how the plugin works, this makes sense.
